Hello all,

Tax  updates for US Payroll will be deprecated by Oct 2021

Will the rest of the Payroll module be kept alive and supported?

Regards

    Hi Grant,

The page below covers what's getting deprecated from Payroll module. Payroll from HR management is also getting reviewed. Additional details may have to be checked with MS resources.

    Hi Grant!

In addition to the information that Satish provided, a little further down on the same page there is the section on US Payroll as well.

    US Payroll tax updates
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/migration-upgrade/deprecated-features?toc=/dynamics365/commerce/toc.json#us-payroll-tax-updates

"The functionality will remain in the product, however enhancements will no longer keep the functionality up to date and any product defects will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. For more information, see Tax updates being retired for US Payroll feature in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations."

Looking at the PDF provided, there is some additional detail.

Q: Will you continue to provide support for other payroll functionality in the U.S. Payroll feature?
A: Microsoft will not make additional enhancements to our U.S. Payroll feature or other payroll functionality, but customers can still report any issues with the existing functionality and we will address those on a case-by-case basis.

I'm hesitant to say whether that means all of the Payroll module because sometimes the wording isn't as intended, or is too vague. I would recommend directing further questions to the email provided in the PDF.

"If you have questions that are not addressed in the FAQ, please email your questions to USPayrollRetire@microsoft.com."

They should be able to provide further clarification. I hope that helps!

    Hello Lucas, hello Satish,

thanks very much for the reply. However, the Address "USPayrollRetire@microsoft.com" rejects my E-Mail.

I will try sending my question through LCS.
