Peripheral simulator not showing printer menu

Posted on by 215

Hello experts,

I am currently facing an issue, where my peripheral simulator for Commerce is not showing any options for the printer menu (which was the main intention behind using the peripheral simulator to test our receipt layouts).

I have followed the official guidelines from Microsoft to setup the hardware profile and have run the DB sync jobs. All other devices in the simulator work as expected, except for the printer.

I have tested this with various settings on multiple PCs, all with the same result.

Any idea how to fix this?printer.jpg8666.hws.jpg

    Hi Michael_G,

If your main intention is only to test your receipt layouts, as a workaround I'll recommend you to consider to not to use the Virtual profile.
You might choose to use other profile and set Printer =  ‘Windows Driver’ Device Name to = Microsoft XPS Document Writer as an alternative to view the receipt instead.

    Hope this help.

    Regards,
    EeWee
