General ledger entries - links and notes

Hi everyone,

We are using Notes and Links in the Attachments tab when we posted General Journals to provide additional information on the journal and supporting documentation. When I view posted journals in General Ledger Entries the Notes and Links are blank. Any idea how I can navigate to find these or do they not save against the General Ledger Entry? I understand that Notes and Links attach to an individual line opposed to the whole journal but even when I look at the correct entry that they were attached to they aren't there.

Sadly they do not have transactional flow applied to them i.e. not passed on once posted. A modification would be needed for that exact process to continue. The alternative would be the incoming document feature which does flow. This would mean attaching a file directly to the journal line. There is also a “Comment” field which allows 250 characters per entry. Don’t be fooled by that one either as it doesn’t flow through either without modification.
