I have tried this on the full client as power user with a test user and get to assign the report then in turn print it, however it does not have data.

As a regular employee I cannot assign the report "timecard" and cannot print the timecard....

I have documented my process

When I press print …

    Hi Michael,

I've done some testings on my side.. we don't use the regular Time Card entry form, but rather the Project Accounting related Time & Expense entry forms... It turns out that the PTE forms have currently no option to print any kind of reports... this was confirmed by Microsoft.

I wouldn't be surprised that they 'forgot' to implement reports in the regular Time Card entry too... I'm currently deploying a new GP 2013R2 server to upgrade from GP2010R2 and though we don't intend to use the Time Card option, I'll check if the SSRS reports are deployed and if the button triggers any action.

    Hi Michael,

Do you have the Support Debugging Tool installed (or even better the new GP PowerTool) ? this woul allow you to track the resources by using the 'security profiler' while you're logged in with the POWERUSER role. You'd then be able to figure out what it take to open the report and what security is required to assign the report.

As for the content, I don't know since we don't use the US Payroll... and the TimeCard entry is only used for the US payroll... not the Canadian Payroll apparently. We use the counterpart Project Accounting Time & Expenses reports instead.

I'll check my deployed SSRS reports on the server to see if I can locate the one that is supposed to return you data for the time-cards...

PS: on your SSRS server, check the report under CPNY (TWO or whatever you ID is) > Payroll > Timecard. Validate also the permissions to open this report in SSRS..
