How to assign different number series to different article templates

Hello,

does anyone know if it's possible to assign different number series to different article templates? 

For example:

"Helpline" has now number "A00123" and category service

for a better differentiation and faster search for sales, I want to create special phrases inside the number:

"Helpline" should now have the number "12-SER" 

and every new article which comes with cat. service should follow that number series "XXX-SER"

Open for other examples/solutions. Thank you!

    Yes that is possible.

    The no. series is a field on the item template card.

    So you can assign different no. series to different templates.

    Tom,

    When setting up an Item Template, you can define the No. Series to use when it is selected. Here is how to setup and its use:

    When I create a new Item and you select the Item Template , the No. Series will be used that appears in the Item Template.
