The Form for Payables Transaction Entry.

Excuse my ignorance; I'm fairly new to working with Microsoft GP, Visual Studio and Dexterity. I'm trying to work with the form that is Payables Transaction Entry on GP 2013. However, I can't find the exact form for this window as everything seems to have a strange name when working with dexterity forms.

So here is my question; what's the name of the Payables Transaction Entry form?

Addition to the above valuable suggestion mentioned by Shan, you can easily find out the technical name of the form with using macro. Open the appropriate window, go to tools-->Macro-->Record. Then give the path name for saving the macro file. And stop the macro by using the same way. Now open the macro file which you have saved on previous step. From this file you can see the form name, window name.

Note: you can also find out the field name with using same method. After recording the macro, just click the field which you want to know the technical field name. then stop the macro and open the file to see the name.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Hi,

The name of the Payables Transction Entry form name is dexterity is "PM_Transaction_Entry". The easiest method inside GP to find the technical name of the form. Goto>>Microsoft Dynamics GP>>Tools>>Resource Description>>Windows

Select the Product name as "Microsoft Dynamics" and Series as "Purchasing" and View By as " by window display name"

Another method, is using the dex.ini on the GP Installed folder. Add the script "ScriptDebugger=TRUE" and login to GP and go to the specific form (Payables Transaction Entry) and Press CTRL+F1 it will allow the pointer enabled with script image. click the form it opens the Open Script window where you can find the Technical name and other resources .
