E-mail using exchange-outlook 365 in the cloud with GP 18

We recently upgraded to Office 365 Cloud based and GP 18.6.1695 on Windows server 2012. We used to send e-mail from GP using Mapi, which we now need to use Exchange. The System Preferences are set as follows: SharePT URl: outlook.office364.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx , Server set to Exchange.

When I try to send an invoice out via e-mail, I receive the message: *Invalid E-mail address.

I don't seem to get an authentication for my e-mail.

Not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hello Community Member,

The SharePoint URL I do not believe will have any effect on the email process. My assumption is you have Email Based on Doc Type enabled in the Customer Email Options window but are not using it.

When you have this enabled, an email address needs to be assigned to each type of document you have enabled for emailing and makes the ellipse active.

Clicking the ellipse allows you to define specific email addresses per customer for that form.

Double check this to see if this is the problem. If you are not going to use Email Based on Doc Type or it is enabled, disable it and try again. If it now works, you need to turn it off or define it for all customers.

Hi, did you get the same error when try to send a test email from within Dynamics GP using a different email address.
