NAV with Office 2007

Looking at implementing NAV with Office 2007. Has anyone done this, and if so, does it do all required functions, ie export to excel etc? I see that the Addon for Excel will only work with Excel 2010. How important is this addon? Do you see it a necessity?

Cheers,

    What NAV version you use?

You may want to have a look at Jet Reports Express : jetexpress.jetreports.com/.../index.php

Available for free for customer using NAV 2009 and 2013 :-)

Depends on the NAV version as well. If you use 2009, you can setup a "plug-in" that connects through Web Service (you can download it from Codeplex). If you are using NAV 2013, the installation is automatic :-)

If you are planning to use PowerPivot, you'll need Excel 2010: msdn.microsoft.com/.../ee210644.aspx
