Trying to build my solution and getting errors on several entities when trying to add subcomponents

I am building a "go live" solution and when adding each entity, together with all of its Assets ... but not related stuff, I'm getting an error on two entities.   I've tried going and adding the subcomponents one-by-one and some of them will add but others will not.   One of the errors mentioned something about the item not being customizable so it can't be added.

This is a show-stopper for our go live date.  I've entered a Sev 1 support ticket with Microsoft through our vendor partner.  I got no help today.

Is anyone experiencing this issue with 2016 Online -- without Update 1 installed?

    Here is the error:

Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: The component {0} {1} cannot be added to the solution because it is not customizable

When I remove the component, then add it again without selecting YES to "add all related components" it works fine.

This is happening on several entities.  If I remove the entity and add it back with "Add all assets" checked and "No" to add required subcomponents it works.  As an organization, we have decided to go forward with our push to PRODUCTION and see how it goes.   I will be smoke testing over the weekend.  Am feeling confident.  This definitely feels like a Dynamics bug.

    Hi Deb,

This could be seen as a bug. The issue is that when trying to add all required dependencies it tries to add entities that are system entities that can't be included in solutions.

As a rule of thumb I *never* automatically add required subcomponents because this can often introduce things in your solution that are not actually customised by your system and so bloats out the solution - it's better to establish what you are customisaton and only add that. E.g. if you have not customised the systemuser entity then it shouldn't be in the solution but if you add all required subcomponents it'll add the system user entity because it's related via the owner relationship.

    Hope that makes some sense!

Good luck with your go-live :)
