Email setup in Business Central - External users

Good day, 
 
I was tasked to setup email for our users in Business Central.
 
Does anyone know if it's possible to send email to external/guests users? 
 
Using any of the setup options: SMTP, Current User or shared mailbox.

    If you are asking if its possible for a BC user to send emails from BC to extern/guest users then that's definitely possible.

    Yes, we have guest accounts in our tenant which are license for BC.
     
    We would to setup email notification for all users, we have tested and its working for internal\home accounts.
     
    Is there any documentation available for guests users?

    I believe the email BC use to send emails is the one from the user card. I don't have example, but believe, AAD create a long email address for the guest user which might not be able to receive emails. it is for authentication purpose.

    Hi, you mean not the recipient but the sender needs to be an external user?
    For example,
     
    As far as I know, this can't be done, and it's documented in MS Learn (Docs).

    You need to clarify if the external users are the email senders or recipients. 
     
    If they are the senders - as YUN ZHU stated, they cannot send email from Business Central.
     
    If they are the receivers - they can receive emails sent from Business Central.
