Dear Niazy,

Greetings!!!

The purpose of Closing Income Statement is to close all the temporary accounts (Income, Expenses, Cost of Goods Sold) to Retained Earning Accounts. So, Business Central is generating multiple entries based on the number of temporary G/L accounts available to close.

This is the standard and recommended process to follow.

Previously retained earning account was affected with one line with total profit or loss amount for the year
while now retained earning account is affected by multiple entries for each closed account, that is the case & I want to return to previouse case

Hello,

Can you please share the screenshot of your Ledger Entry?

Because system will Adjust the Remaining Amount of Profit & Loss Accounts ledgers, as a Profit or Loss in 1 Single Last line.

That's the standard approach though and depends on the COA design. Is there any issue even if its creating multiple?

Your end balance should match and system should show the correct RTetained balances.

In the standard form you could not record it in a single line, but it would help you to group by dimensions and thus less line would be generated according to the dimensions.

Unfortionatlly no answer helping!
One more time, does any one know how to make closing income statement entry reflect on one line in retained earning account with total amount?
Sepecial that was the case perviously but now it's split into multiple entries.
