Getting a out of memory error and RMS Crashes...any ideas? Where has the KG gone too these days?

    Hi Troy,

    What were you doing at the time this error occurred?

    It seems there is not enough RAM to complete that operation. You could try increasing the virtual memory if you cannot upgrade the RAM.

    You slumming?

    Look for any QS*.tmp files and delete them.  Then re-start the computer.

    I am slumming for $$$$!  Got bored riding the bike and being lazy.  How many years can you go without doing anything?  I made it about 3 1/2 years.  Work keeps me busy and my mind out of the gutter.  I will do support for anyone too...btw.  You got issues, I fix.  Call me if you need assistance.  Or reply here.  I still have some free time to sell.

    No need for help on this issue.  Going to blow out the PC and reload the OS and RMS.  They are saying a virus started all this.

    Jeff,

    I am having out of memory issues, and I looked for QS*.tmp files as you suggested. Wow! 8900 such files in the past few months. What causes these and does RMS, in fact, periodically remove them?

    By the way after removing the 8900 files, I am still getting "out of memory" warnings, which are solved by re-starting POS. Something new after upgrading to CU5. Any new thought on "out of memory?" (I mean with RMS, not with old guys like me!)
