Hi experts!

I would like to use Diminution Value in order to total other Dimension Values such like  "ACCOUNTALL Totaling = 101 + 102", but does not works.
If removing the half-width space as in 'ACCOUNTALL Totaling = 101+102' does not work either." Can I totaling that?

Look forward to hearing form you.

    Hi Nobuhara 👋

    Thanks for your question!

To total Dimension Values in Business Central, the syntax in the Totaling field must follow specific formatting rules. If you're trying to create a value like ACCOUNTALL that totals 101 and 102, here’s what you can try:

    ✅ Correct syntax for totaling:

    • Use commas to separate values:
      101,102
    • Avoid using + signs or spaces—these are not valid in the Totaling field.

    ✅ Steps to apply:

    1. Go to the Dimension Value setup page.
    2. Create a new Dimension Value (e.g., ACCOUNTALL).
    3. In the Totaling field, enter:
      101,102
    4. Save and test the setup in your reports or filters.

This should allow ACCOUNTALL to represent the sum of values 101 and 102.

    Hope this helps!

I think you should use commas to separate individual dimension values.
Please check I think, total dimension values 101 and 102, you should write like below:-
    101,102 instead of 101+102

Hi, This is for you to enter a range of values, not a formula.
For example, You can enter 101..102, or 101|102

    Thanks.

You can’t use formulas like 101+102 in dimension value totaling. Instead, you need to enter them as a range or list.

    For example:

    • Use 101..102 to cover a continuous range.
    • Use 101|102 to pick specific values.
