Does anyone working with an AS9100/ISO9001 certified manufacturing company have success stories with add-on Quality Management System solutions for NAV?

We are a small aerospace manufacturer considering the switch from another ERP to NAV, but I am not seeing much within NAV for Quality Management and a lot of the add-ons who market themselves as quality management are in fact just quality control. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, the first link directs right back to the Quality Control area within NAV itself. I know NAV markets it as "Quality Management", but in essence, it's a robust Inspection Management tool. Inspections are a part of Quality Control (the things that happen on the production floor). Quality Management (sometimes referred to as Quality Assurance) is the piece that happens at a higher level. It involves document control, configuration management, auditing, nonconformance management, risk management, supplier management (beyond just vendor rating), root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, tooling and equipment maintenance and management, calibrations and a list of other ISO and AS-driven requirements. To-Increase also offers a Quality Control product.

Same question here. We are a small aerospace company and I can't find anything to support our QMS processes in the Microsoft Business Central Suite. Has anyone found a 3rd party software app that integrates relatively well with business central?

We wound up using uniPoint and have been very pleased with it. It integrates well with NAV. The company who offers the uniPoint software is itself ISO 9001 certified so they understand the requirements. They are great to work with and answered all of our questions completely. Standard NAV does not have a built-in Quality Mgmt. granule. Users, all my clients, look to the ISV Add-ons to perform QM activities with Purchase Receipts, Production Output, Customer Returns, etc... Here are a few:

Cost Control - costcontrolsoftware.com/.../ (Note: I have implemented this one)

Cosmo Consulting - www.cosmoconsult.com/.../

KUMA Vision - kumavision.com/.../quality-assurance-qs

If you are moving to BC, then we will have to check which of the above have converted to APP extensions.
