Use VBA to press 'Refresh from CRM' button in Excel 2010?

Hi,

Has anybody managed to use VBA to programatically press the 'Refresh from CRM' button in the ribbon in Excel 2010? If so, how do you do it? Recording a macro and then pushing the button manually gives no clues in the recorded macro output.

Thanks,

JT

I know it has been a while since you posted, but I think you could use the "Refresh" feature instead (Not "Refresh All").

Hey Yvan, refresh or refresh all does not work if you don´t press "Refresh from Dynamics" first.

I´ve tried looking for a way of calling the action of this add-in from VBA from a time now and I have not been able to do so. I wonder if someone else could help or if we can get an answer from Microsoft on this.

I am not a developer so VBA remains a secret for me.

The thing I read somewhere else is that when you click on "Refresh from CRM", Excel actually tries to authenticate the user to the SQL Database, and that somewhat explains why you can't run it in a macro and/or VBA.
