Hello everyone!
I have been searching some information about the Related Accounts option (Offset Account and Opening Account) in D365 F&O: General Ledger > Chart of Accounts > Accounts > Main Accounts but couldn't find any consistent information discribing the option.

I would very much like to know what are its use, in wich situation one would fill that option in the form and any other general information about this field.
I searched in other forums and Microsoft Learn documents but I did not find any info about this topic.
Is it used to pre-set an offset account when selecting a specific account on a journal?
