Crm 4.0 without windows domain

Posted on by 32,675

hi,

is it possible to run crm 4.0 on a standalone windows server (2003) without connection to a windows domain using local users instead of AD users?

we want to kick out the old server from the windows domain, but want to continue using crm for some time.

regards

Is there any reason why you can't migrate CRM to a newer server?  CRM 4.0 supports Windows Server R2 and even SQL Server 2012 as long as you patch up your CRM. Then you can still keep your more secure Windows servers around with the older app.

    Hello,

This is not possible. Active Directory is on of requirements for installation of Dynamics CRM.
