HMRC Vat Return Period Type and Period No.

Hi,

I have 1 query regarding the VAT return.

One of our clients has done the all the required configuration in HMRC VAT setup, inserted Start Date and End Date, but the Period Type and Period No. has not populated.

It should say Period Type = Quarter. Period No. = 1

SaaS Version 22.5.59966.60134

 

Any suggestion on how to resolve will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
     
    When you are creating your vat return you should really use the following function.
     
     
    This allows the user to enter the start and end dates for the vat return period to submit for.
     
     
    When the vat return is inserted this then inserts all the relevant information on the vat return header.
     
    Has the user by any chance created the vat return manually rather that using the automatic function?

    I appreciate your response to my query.
     
    Thanks for the explanation and screen shots. 
    It could be that the client created the return manually instead of using "Get VAT Return Periods'.
