Hi Friends,

I got a requirement to have a app.config file in plugin class libraray. This app.config file is used to retrieve the key value and process the application .

My question are:

1) Can we have app.config file.

2) If not where could I keep the key value so that no need to build the app every time.

3) If we could have the app.config file, then how to work with it.

Please suggest me.

Thanks in Advance,

Datta.G

    Hi ,

Instead in plugin you can use those setting like app.config using

1]add configuration parameters to plugins using developer toolkit

2] create XML webresource library in CRM and use key and value from resource in plugin

3]Create one custom entity called config and read this entity(key, value) data in plugin

4] You can also leverage custome action functionality at some extend.

I would build a new entity called config and some new fields which you can retrieve in your plugin.

Create one config entity and don't give any security rules create priviledge, do you only know there still be one

That way you can change the values by changing the record fields in crm
