What is the diffrence between Item Batch NO and Item Lot No ?
When i use the Batch No and when i use the Lot No ?
Hello,
first I want to ask where did you find "Batch No" in Business Central? I only know about Lot No. and Serial No. for item tracking.In my opinion the expression "Batch" and "LOT" are used for the same process....to track items which are produced in 1 process with and the lot-no. is used to track these items. (e.g. chemicals, liquids, nutriments, steel etc.)

As Thomas mentioned I also interested to know where is Batch No in BC?
In general term lot no usually refer to number that use for individual item. But some companies pack a few individual item in a bigger package then use Batch No for the bigger package.
