Automayically generate quarantine order at the time of Purchase Order Registration (After Purchase Order line >Update line > Registration)

Hi all,

Can we generate quarantine order automatically at the time of Purchase Order registration ?

If yes what are the prequisite setups for the same ?

Also wanted to know what are other ways to generate quarantine orders automatically ?

I was referring the standard AX 2012 PDF where they have mentioned below options.

Out of that I know first option (After Product Receipt posting) & out of other I tried the same after Purchase Registration,but no result.Rest options i have not tried yet, Refer below mentioned options that Microsoft suggests,

1. On Product receipt update (Purchase)

2. On Report as finished

3. On registration (Purchase)

4. Item arrival journal/Input Pallet transport.

Hi Nitin,

To setup the system to generate the Quarantine order automatically you can set at item model group, please select "Quarantine Management".

IM> Setup>Inventory> Item model group.

As well as the item model group being configured for quarantine you must also set a Quarantine warehouse on the receiving warehouse to move quaratnine order stock into

Then make sure you load NEW orders as the details are read at the time of entry (I think)

Hi Nitin,

To generate the Quarantine order automatically, following pre-requisites has to be done.

1. In Item Model group, check Quarantine Management

2. We have create separate Quarantine warehouse

3. That Quarantine warehouse has to be linked to the Main Warehouse, where the item will be moving after the Quarantine Process.

Once it is done, When you do the product receipt, system will automatically create a Quarantine journal and from there you can reject or accept the items.

The accepted items will be moved to the Main warehouse.

The responses to this question did not deal with the original Registration question. We know what Receipt of Product does. I am wanting to know how standard Ax should handle Quarantine requirement if REGISTRATION is performed. [It would be good to be able to choose whether registered product is immediately quarantined, and to be able to determine that by groups of products!]

I know this is a slight off-topic again, but I feel like I must write this before you guys invest too much time into getting quarantine management integration.

Microsoft has long since announced that Quarantine management is not going to be support going forward (unclear to which release that is), and Quality management and quality orders should be used instead.

I suggest you look into QMS and quality associations, there's a lot of info on the web about it. It allows for a pretty flexible setup for when and what should happen as part of QC.
