I've read the Licensing Guide and am not sure, so please advice - Can a user ship/receive on Sales/Purchase Orders with Team member license (and one role).

Thanks,

Petya

    Hi,

as far as I understand this you cant do it because you are allowed to to this

    (i) Read anything within Dynamics 365 Business Central

(ii) Update existing data and entries in Dynamics 365 Business Central - existing data are records

like customer, vendor or item records which are already created. Entries means entries on

which it is specifically allowed from an accounting perspective to update specific information.

(e.g. due date on customer ledger entries)

(iii) Approve or reject tasks in all workflows assigned to a user

(iv) Create, edit, delete a quote

    (v) Create, edit, delete personal information

(vi) Enter a time sheet for Jobs

(vii) Use Power Apps for Dynamics 365

(viii) A Team Members application module may not be customized with more than 15 custom

entities available to the Dynamics 365 Team license*

*Customization is only allowable if it does not result in a change to core purpose of the specified scenario. The

limitation of 15 objects is on a per user/employee basis and a firm  limitation to that specific user/employee. This user

is not allowed to log out and log in and modify 15 different objects.

so when posting receive on Purchase order you will create posted receipt header, posted receipt lines, item ledger entries, value entries and much more so you will create entries in tables for the purchase process which is not described on licensing guide.

    Same goes with sales.

    Best regards,

    Renato

In other words, only Full User can receive/ship items, which means the warehouse workers should have Full User License?

    Thanks,

if the warehouse workers are supposed to do the posting, then yes,

but if they only create the orders and one other user with full user license executes the posting then not.

alternatively the posting can be done by a job queue entry.
