General ledger setup - account schedule for reporting

Hi,

In the general ledger setup under reporting fast tab, there is setup for acc. schedule for balance sheet.

Which mentions "specifies which account schedule name that is used to generate the balance sheet report"

When I run the report (balance sheet in this example) from the chart of accounts, it calls for Balance Sheet (28024, Report Request), and not account schedule report.

Does anyone know which report the setup on gen. ledger setup is referring to?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

What is your tenant localization and version of your environment.

As I cant see Balance Sheet action in Business Central US localization of version 20

Also do you have any customization done in Chart of Accounts page?

If my answer was helpful to you, please verify it so that other users know it worked. Thank you very much

    Hi Yuko,

The Balance Sheet action that is visible in Chart of accounts list page is by default it is not coming from any setups. Microsoft has given this action which pulls Balance Sheet report (28024). Refer the below screenshot.

    Hi,

thanks for confirming. Yes I did notice that the balance sheet report is calling for a different report which is not account schedule.
i was hoping someone might have an answer as to where the setups in the gen ledger set is used.

You want to Choose Account Schedule in Business Central to run your Account Schedules.

This will print your account schedule, once you choose your schedule and column layout.
