Hi,
We are an FMCG company selling a wide range of goods to various channels (brick and mortar, online, large central warehouses etc)
Up till now we have purchased, inventoried/warehoused and sold everything by the case quantity - example a case contains 12 consumer units we input that as 1 in our system. We have an attribute in Business Central with the numbers of units in the case.
We now have a number of customers who send in purchase orders with units instead of case quantities, today we manually calculate how many cases each line item is and then manually enter in the sales order.
We are struggling to find a solution where we can enter the units and have that round up to the nearest case quantity, at the same time we are also thinking longer term about some kind of OCR/automation/recognition for importing sales orders from PDF -› Dynamics and trying to keep in mind a solution that would work now for manual entry and later for some form of import.

Nothing out of the box in Business Central to do this. At least as long as you talk about rounding the quantity. Selling in different units are covered by the standard solution.
But you can work with your partner to have it customized or look at app source for solutions that might cover your needs.
