Hi,
We are planning to upgrade GP from GP 2016 (16.00.0439) to GP 18.4 (18.4.1361). Do we have any direct upgrade path or do we need to go for the step up grade. Kindly let me know what is the correct upgrade path. Could you please help here...

You need to upgrade to GP 16.00.0716 first.
As Richard and the 'Upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics GP' hot topic (docs.microsoft.com/.../hot_topic_mdgpupgrade_415) mentions, the minimum version of GP 2016 is 16.00.0716, to be able to upgrade to 18.2.1013 or later.
If you want to use a upgrade path that we've tested for sure, this hot topic also mentions the following:
"Note: As an example of a supported (tested by Microsoft) upgrade path to 18.4.1361 (October 2021 Release) would be from GP 2016 16.00.814 or later and GP 2018 18.00.0496 or later."
A test upgrade is always highly recommended.

Thank you, Richard and Derek. So first I need to upgrade GP 2016 (16.00.0439) to GP 16.00.0716 and then upgrade to GP 18.4 (18.4.1361). From the above reply, I understand that Microsoft tested the upgrade process from GP 2016 16.00.814 to GP 18.4 (18.4.1361) and it's working fine right? Is my understanding is correct?
You understand correctly. By the way the latest release of GP is 18.4.1434.

I would like to upgrade from GP 2016 Jan hotfix (16.00.0579) to GP 18.5 RTM. Kindly suggest exact path like 1 step or multiple steps from GP 2016 >> 2018 >> 18.2 >> 18.3 >> 18.5 ?

You will need to be on GP 2016.00.0814 or later to go to GP 18.5.
