Commissions for multiple sales reps by item group

(0) ShareShare

In AX 2012 R3 cu12 - I need to track commissions as follows:

1. When customer A buys a product in group 1 - pay sales rep #10 a 2% commission

2. If customer A buys a product not in group 1 - pay sales rep #20 a 3% commission

This seems like very straight forward setup, however I cannot figure out how to make this work!

I have 2 Item commission groups and every product is assigned to one of these group.

I created sales group 10 and associated the employee/sales rep.

I created sales group 20 and associated the employee/sales rep.

Now what needs to go on the customer?  And how do I configure the commission calculation setup?

    Hello Jacqueline,

do you want to pay commission on Basis of customer or on Basis of items?

    Example:

Commission for defined items on Special Customers get defined sales reps

    Setup on Item

    Sales and Marketing/Setup/Commission/Item Groups

    Define you item Group

Define on this item Group the commission calculation

There you define your items (you can use here all if you have put the item Group on the released product)

Definition which customer (or Group) --> Put Group on customer

Definition which sales reps (or Group) --> Definition of sales rep Group.

    i hope this will help

    Hi Jacqueline,

What you can do easily is to setup 2 records for commission calculation

    - one is setup to item group #10 and customer A -> 2%

    - one is setup to item group #20 and customer B -> 3%

-> in your case it is not mandatory to use sales groups so you can setup to All.

Sales groups are supported by customers, so in your case you are using the same customer so you don't need them.

Actually you can cross customers / items based on 3 criterias for commission calculation :

    - Sales groups and Commission customer group are supported by customers

    - Items groups are supported by items
