How does the connection to cloud work? Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Portals Source Code

Posted on by 290

Hi Guys!

we are getting error "The Organization Service URL is invalid. Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: https://instancename.crm.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc?wsdl=wsdl0'."

The problem is due to that our client has some proxy. Their system administrators investigated the internet traffic and they found out that from their server to clouds are no restrictions but they don't receive any response. Probably due to some port's restrictions.

If I go, to the https://instancename.crm.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc?wsdl=wsdl0'.", I can easily open (already put every link to trusted sites) it without any error. I can also access online CRM from that server using the same credentials.

Do you know what should be set on proxy side that it will get all the responses from cloud?

BR,

Miha

    Hi Goutam,

basically, if I remove it, it stops working completely. I would like to understand how it works and enable only appropriate ports on proxy side.

    Hi Miha ,

    Try with this -

    1) Go to internet explorer settings

    2) Select Internet Options

    3)Go to connection Tab

    4)Click on LAN settings

    5) in LAN settings just unchecked the proxy server.

    Hope  this will help.

    Hi Samit,

it is on the configuration page of the portal setup. If I test it on another server using the same portal and credentials, it works properly. I expect that some ports are restricted on proxy.

    Miha

This seems to be privilege issue. Please check the credential request from the application where you are making the call.
