Running production orders in Parallel

Hello all,

Reaching out to get some help with this. If we are running multiple production orders off of the shop floor module, let's say I'm the operator and I logged into the module and I see that in the open orders for my machine that there is 3 orders that all take the same material but at different length, so I decided to run all 3 of those in parallel so I highlight all 3 production orders and start the setup, then finish the setup after the machine is setup then I proceed to start the job and post all 3 as finished, how does the system calculate the real time spent on that. Say it took 6 hours to run all 3 orders would the system recognize it as 2 hours per orders or would it show 6 hours per order? Or would the system take the percentage of how the part number was setup say it was setup to run 1 hr for 15 feet and in all those 3 orders there was 1 for 60 ft, 1 for 30 ft and 1 for 15 ft and it took me a total of 7 hours to run would the system calculate that to 4 hrs for the 60ft, 2 hours for hte 30 ft and 1 hr for the 15ft, or would it calculate run time at 7 hrs on each production order or would it calculate the run time at 7/3= 2.3hrs per order? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Hi,
You can refer to this official document: Allocate time to jobs in a job bundle - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft LearnIn Manufacturing execution, you can bundle jobs. You can then start multiple jobs at the same time on the Job list page. If you bundle jobs, you must define how the total registered time for all the jobs should be allocated to each job. you can also refer to this official document: Schedule a production order with operations and job scheduling - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft LearnThis article focuses on scheduling a production order with operations scheduling and job scheduling.
    Best regards,
    Kevin
