HQ Store Inventory Discrepancies

Posted on by 135

Hello Folks!

So I am having an issue.
We recently setup a new store, with a limited selection of products, and ergo, not the entire Headquarter's worth of items in the database.
However, somehow, this new store managed to get assigned quantities of items if doesn't have in it's database, but HQ asserts it has. I tried to run a Inventory Wizard 190, but it doesn't populate a full list of items. Also, adjusting the store quantities via a worksheet does not work, either. The only thing that's worked so far is to manually visit each item in maintenance mode and clear them one by one. However, with over 20,000 items in inventory, it'd be a MASSIVE time sink to do.

I was curious as to what table HQ might store it's Store Quantities values at, so I could maybe just use a SQL command to eliminate all inventory from that store (It's not open yet, and not inventory has been transferred to it), or if another method exists for clearing all these phantom items out of HQ, since they are not present at the store level database

    Hi Scott,

I am having a similar problem. I initiated a 307 - Adjust Inventory Quantities worksheet and added the same item twice with quantities. However when the worksheet was received in SOP the quantity was not adjusted. It happened for quite a few of items. HQ reflects the correct quantities.

Can you say what cause this and give a possible fix?

    Thanks alot.

ItemDynamic table contains quantity for each store

I think you have some missing records for items in this table which cause this problem

    Hello Patrick,

The best practice to adjust store quantities is to complete a physical inventory count at the store, run a Style 501 worksheet for the store and then run a Task 190 in Headquarters Manager.

Please note that if you have deleted items in the store database, then the above may not work as not all items will pull in..

If the store has not yet opened, re-exporting out the database from Headquarters, using a blank database as the template, or a copy of a current store database with all item quantities zeroed out as the template, should allow you to then populate only the items that will be carried at the store.

    Thank you,
