Is there a way to sort/group items by department on customer receipts.

Thanks in advance.

I had similar question.  I have research and play with the settings in RMS 2.0... no luck.  I don't see a way to do it.

I can sort the reports, etc., however.

No Settings within RMS will accomplish this.  An addon would have to be created to basically prior to tendering the sale delete all the items on the transaction then re-add all of them in a set order.

Can I ask why you want the items on the check to sort by department.  Seems unnecessary to me.

Hi ED. thanks for your reply, all i need is on the printer receipt the items should be grouped by department, look at attached receipt from a different POS, i have purchased 7 items, which are grouped by 4 departments, its very convenient for a customer when receipts contain a lot of items,

RMS will not print group headers.  A whole new receipt engine would have to be created.

Also I dont see a real benefit to the business for this grouping of items and I have installing and supporting POS for over 10 years.  But I love to learn new tricks to the business.  So why is this important to your operation and maybe I can come up with a workaround that might suit your needs.
