    Hi,

This depends on the valuation principle that you have defined for your items in the item model group such as FIFO, LIFO, etc.

You can find some information here:

    Hello,

The cost amount for the Inventory Issue is automatically calculated.

Depending on whether we are using LIFO/ FIFO / Weighted avg. adjustments will be made at the time of running the Inventory close procedure.

By default when an issue transaction is posted, the cost price is updated by the Average Cost price.

For E.G:- We are using the FIFO model.

    1) Made PO of Item "XYZ" 1 qty @ price 10.

    2) MAde PO of Item "XYZ" 1 qty @ price 20.

    3) Made SO of Item "XYZ"  -1 THe price would be -15 ( System would issue by the average price [10+20]/2.

    4) We run the Inventory closing.

    5) As we are using the FIFO model, the cost price of the sales transaction would be updated to -10.

    Thanks, Kaushik
