Problem with account notes scroll bar and focus shifting

Hi all,

My organisation has recently been upgraded to CRM 2013. Since the upgrade the display of account notes has been causing problems: the scroll bar keeps jumping around all over the place. When the account first loads the focus of the notes is (correctly) the most recent note entry. As a salesperson attempts to work however, the focus keeps going back to the notes at various points, ultimately settling at some place about three-quarters through the notes history.  I believe this may be related to the notes still loading, but I can’t find anything to limit or control this in the customisations interface and it appears to be a problem even on accounts without extensive notes to load – which is totally throwing me!

How do I stop the notes a) taking the focus on the account load/open action and b) the scroll bar jumping around and get it to stay on the most recent entry even if it’s still loading?

    Hi..

    Is it only an issue with internet explorer ?? Could you please check with other browsers too ?

    Try adding *.microsoft.com,*.dynamics.com, *.live.com these three sites to the trusted sites in internet explorer.

    Internet Options >> Security >> Trusted sites >> Sites and add above mentioned three sites

    Close and re-launch the IE

    Hi Suumit,

    Many thanks for the response. I tested your suggested solution and this had no impact.

    The problem is also present in both Internet Explorer and Chrome.

    Hi Ryan,

    I’ve opened a case with MS support. I’ll update you on what their response is and any action they recommend.

    Hi Ryan and Summit,

    I opened a case with MS support and after investigation they identified this as a product issue (?) with Dynamics 2013. Apparently a number of other people have raised the same issue. It should be addressed in the coming weeks for online customers from my understanding of the conversation….

    Thank you for addressing this issue with MS Support.  It has been driving me crazy.  I have been working in the account summary screen and using Posts instead of notes because of this.

    Did anyone get an answer to this issue? We updated to 2013 on Monday. This is driving our sales and support teams crazy.

    Hi Lynette,

    It’s driving us absolutely nuts too!  I chased this up with Microsoft on the 13-Jan. The status then was:

    The Operations team is already aware about this and are working on it... therefore there was no need to open a Product Suggestion issue.

    The team is working on a fix for this and I do not have any ETA for it. However I can assure that it will be fixed in the upcoming updates.

    I will let you know as soon I have any confirmation about the release date.

    As soon as I hear anything new from Microsoft I’ll update this thread.

    Fingers crossed they get back to me soon!

    Thanks Chloe,

    I opened a ticket yesterday and this is what I was told: "We assisted you by informing you that it is a known issue and we are already working on it and an internal ticket has already been raised for it. Also this issue will be resolved once the UR 2 will be deployed for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 which is estimated somewhere around the end of March month 2014."

    They said the issue is resolved and going through testing right now before pushing out to us in the next release.

    I'll let you know if I hear anything. They said they would add me to a list for notification on this issue.
