Unified Returns Feature through POS

Hi All,

Just been testing through Customer ordering at store in 10.0.24.

I have an issue with Exchanges at POS. Scenario is that the customer order is at invoiced, item is returned for an exchange.

If the exchange is then completed as a Pay and Take on the recalled order there is no issue

However if the exchange is set to a mode of delivery to ship the product I get all sorts of errors - mainly around it not recognising the mode of delivery on the added lines.

Question is -is there a restriction in unified returns that for exchanges the item can only be a "pay and take" and you can't add the exchange item as a pickup or ship?

I do have the 2 quality updates in on the environment btw.

    Hi Alan,

    please test the same in 10.0.25. I see there are some changes and maybe some scenarios will be resolved.

    Also be sure you have upgraded Commerce Scale Unit to at least the following versions:

    10.0.23: v9.33.22042.15

    10.0.24: v9.34.22042.13

    10.0.25: v9.35.22042.14

    10.0.26: v9.36.22042.12

    The issue I mentioned (fix.lcs.dynamics.com/.../ ), is still under investigation, so there is no fix ready for now.

    If you still have some issues, please create support tickets for each issue separately. We need much more data to be able to investigate and assist.

    Yes we already have that set to on.

    We custom added it back in for the 10.0.24.

    This fixed the issue of being able to add a product to an exchange as was previously blocked. That also allowed a GIVEX gift card to be added to issue as was also being blocked.

    Originally the error was being thrown at the point of trying to add the mode of delivery. 

    We have upgrades the CSU to version 9.34.22063.8 to try and fix the issue against logged issue: 619143

    I think the issue has been referred to Product Team for review - this is why the question was if by design was it only allowing Pay and Take on the exchange as that seemed to work through fine.

    as a summary I have 3 issues linked to this:

    • the above where it doesn't like any Mode of Delivery that is not Pay and Take
    • the cash calculation on the amount due is not calculated correctly - there was a fix for that applied but again only worked with Pay and Take
    • I think the auto charges being refundable / non-refundable as part of the exchange transactions are not being respected  - difficult to confirm in testing at the moment as the basket values are not correct at the calculation point.

    Please note I have not tested the exchanges through Adyen yet, using simple cash at the moment, and also we are fulfilling from store setup with shipped orders passing to D365HQ for Warehouse Management dispatch - but I will test through using the store fulfillment logic. DOM is not enabled.

    Hi Alan,

    can you check if you have this parameter "Process return orders as sales orders" in Commerce parameters/Tab Customer orders:

    If it is disabled, try to enable. Run 9999 job and try from the scratch your steps. If it is still failing, try to add delivery mode again to the line which is missing. 

    What is the result then?

    Hi Ramune,

    The fix that Prodct are looking at is this one - logged it through support.

    Screenshot of the issue is below. As I noted does not happen when its a pay and take which leads me to think it is something to do with the different modes of delivery.

    I believe the fix is also addressing that the amount due is not consistent with the actual basket value.

    Hi Algie,

    regarding error about mode of delivery is not present on all lines - I did not hear. Can you provide an exact error (text and screenshot) and steps you do?

    Regarding payment due amount - we are working on one issue, seems could be related to yours issue:

    fix.lcs.dynamics.com/.../

    It is not fixed yet, follow up with status on LCS.

    At payment point , so selection of the payment method, it throws an error saying  mode of delivery is not present on all lines. Does not do this if the mode set on the line is pay and take, only if it is a ship method added

    There is also an issue that the payment values due amount is not correct
