ATP gives the required delivery date and not the confirmed date when creating a new sales order

Posted on by

Dear all

I have set up the ATP to be ATP + inbound lead time, but our order team receives the date when an item will be delivered to our warehouse (the purchase orders delivery date without the inbound lead time) as the requested delivery date when creating a new sales order for an item that is out of stock but there is a purchase order with delivery inside the ATP period.  The inbound lead time have been setup for each coverage group and the ATP time fence have been setup for each article.

What I am missing ?

Hi Chris from my point of view you are not missing any setup.

I have debugged this case in D365 FSCM and the logic is simply wrong.
When referring to a planned purchase order the ship date equals the next possible requirement date (which includes the receipt margin) because it looks in reqtrans.
When referring to a purchase order the ship date equals the next expected date in the inventtrans. This date does not consider the receipt margin.

This is a bug from my point of view and I have filed a support request.
