Text in multi-line text field disappears while typing text

Hello, 

I have a multi-line text field and when some users is typing in the field the text disappears after typing around 20 characters. 

Any ideas?

    Hi,

    Can you check if you have any Javascript code attached to that field.

    I believe this is Client Side some custom code breaking.

    Also, please verify if it works in other browsers or same behaviour.

    Hello Emma,

    Is this happening for all or few users? Is it happening once or every time when users type in something. Could be the form was still loading and the user started typing which got cleared after the form was fully loaded?

    Maybe you can try disabling auto save and see if that works.

    Check the maxlength attribute. If the maxlength attribute is set to a value lower than the expected input value, the text field will truncate the input and make it disappear. You need to remove the maxlength attribute or increase its value to a suitable number.
