Hi,

May i know why when i create new appointments on the calendar in CRM, only i can view those appointments but the other users cannot?

I even changed the owner of the appointments to those users but they are still unable to see them.

Thanks!

On the CRM Calendar, you will ONLY see your Appointments.

To view all the Appointments, use the Service Calendar.

    Service -> Service Calendar

Here is a blog post explaining the same.

    Hi,

Is there no other way for others to view my calendar under sales / marketing? Because putting those appointments under service calendar does not make sense as those appointments are related to sales / marketing not services.

    Cheers

You can use the SiteMap editor and move this 'Service Calendar' from the Service area to your Sales Area.

You can also rename it as you want.

Let me know if you need more details regarding the SiteMap editor.

    Cheers!

    Hi Shidin,

The thing is i already have a sales calendar. But i am unsure why the other users are unable to view the appointments that i created on the sales calendar?

    Thanks

    Dale,

Please try to understand this concept:

    1. Out of the box, the SALES CALENDAR is only meant to show your appointments.

    2. Out of the box, the SERVICE CALENDAR is meant to see the appointments of everyone in the system.

So, for customers who want to see the 2nd calendar in their Sales area, all they have to do is to modify the SiteMap editor and show the 'Service Calendar' instead of the 'Sales Calendar' in the Sales area.

Remember, this is a XRM platform, where the users have the power to move things around as they want. The Out of box features are just to show how a business work. but unless you customise your CRM instance, it will not be specific to your business needs.

Here is another forum thread based on the same requirement as yours. https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/117/t/153582

Please mark the answer as verified if it helps you. If it helps you, it is definitely going to help the next person that comes along.

    Cheers!
