D365 Entity field is not showing in dual write table mapping

Hello,

we recently added a some fields to a customized entity, and they do not show up in the Dual Write form. I specify "form", because the field is available in the entity. I opened it in Excel and could exchange data with the Excel Add-in.
This problem only appears in one environment of one customer. In other environments of the same customer, and environments of other customers, the fields appear.

So far I tried:
* I used "Refresh entity list" in the "Data import/export framework parameters", then used "refresh entities" in the Dual Write group. It did multiple times over several days
* I put the system in maintenance mode, and used "Refresh entity list" and "refresh entities".
* I restarted the system in the LCS

Is there something else I can try?

When you actually change metadata of entities you should add these in solution and patch that in next environment. This is cleanest way to move mappings.

    sorry for the late reply.

I couldn't find an option "Clear Cache" in "Framework parameters" > "Entity Settings". I didn't have the rights to access the AOT.

My problem disappeared. There was a major deployment in CE that apparently fixed that problem. The entities were renamed, and after the deployment the entities appeared unde the new name. I had to recreate all settings, but they work now.
There is just the cosmetic issue that the old names still appear in the list and are "running". Dual Write was active during the CE deployment, and running groups can't be deleted. But now I can't stop these phantom groups, because the entities don't exist. But that is a minor issue, and maybe can be fixed with rebuilding and redeplying the Dual Write mapping.

    Bets regards

many of those would usually resolve issues like this. Since the new fields are visible in the Excel Add-in and other environments, the issue seems to be related to how the Dual Write table mapping metadata is cached or stored in that specific environment.

    1. Check the Form Mapping in Dual Write
Even though the entity has the field, the form mapping (in the Dual Write setup) may not have been updated to include the new field.
Go to Data Management > Dual Write > Table mappings.
    1. Clear Cache on Dual Write Metadata
Even after using the refresh options, stale metadata might persist. Try clearing it:
    Open Data Management workspace.
Use "Framework parameters" > "Entity Settings", and click "Clear Cache".
    1. Check for Custom Field Properties
Sometimes fields get added with properties that hide them from forms:
Go to the entity’s metadata in the AOT or through the table browser.
    Confirm the new fields:
    Have IsVisibleInUI = Yes
    IsPublic = Yes
Are marked as IncludeInDataEntity = Yes on the data entity
    1. Rebuild and Re-deploy the Dual Write Mapping
If the field still doesn’t show up, try:
    Delete the mapping (backup first).
Recreate it from scratch or re-import from another working environment.
    Re-run the initial synchronization.

    Best regards,
