Hi,
Is there a way or work around to store more than 30 characters in the distribution reference field of the "Payables Transaction Entry Distribution" screen? Right now, it doesn't accept a description which is more than 30 characters in length. Does anyone know what my options? Appreciate your help with this!

The standard trial balance uses the distribution reference field from the PM tables. You could modify the report to use the Extender field instead of the distribution reference field.
Frank, my client asked me just today about extending the distribution reference field. Good to know that you can do it with Extender, however, I have a few questions about this customisation
1- In the Detailed Financial Trial Balance which distribution reference field will be used by GP Report Writer
2- Is it possible to modify and include the Extender field in the GP Report?

Thanks for your reply. Is Extender a seperate module that we need to buy or does it come with Dynamics GP?
Because the field in the PM tables only store 30 characters for the Distribution Reference, you would have to add a table using Extender to store the data and then use Modifier to modify the window to accept the additional characters.
