Hi,

I'm trying to import an unmanaged solution to a sandbox environment.

When trying to import through the power platform, the system starts the importing but stops after 20-30 seconds and throws this error:

"Solution "{"solution name}" failed to import: Unable to establish connection using data source: 'Finance and Operations Virtual Data Source Configuration.' Failed to sync entity metadata. Ensure the data source is configured properly."

When trying to import the solution through "Advanced Settings -> Settings -> Solutions," the system starts importing but again stops after 20-30 seconds. And this time just throws an error code: 80090300.

Clearly, it has something to do with Virtual Entities. Both environments(source and target) have the following solution installed:

Finance and Operations Virtual Entity - Microsoft Operations VE Anchor (version 2.5.1.4)

How can I fix this data source?

Unable to establish connection using data source

I know you are using F&O, but when I get this exact same error message with a BC -> CE integration, it is because there is some data missing in the CE environment that manages the connection from CE back to BC. To resolve it, I navigate to the Business Central Configuration app, and then to the Configurations view, click on the Business Central record, and provide the Environment name and Default company that CE is linked to. After that, I can import my solution.
