suppresschangedate on GP2013 R2

We recently upgraded a customer to GP2013 R2 and the user notified me that since the upgrade, she is not getting the message to change the user date when leaving GP open from the day before.

The first thing I did was to check on the DEX.INI for the suppresschangedate (notice the DEX file substantially changed on GP2013) but it was not there. Is this setup differently on this version? How can I set it up to pop up the message after midnight?

Help is always appreciated :)

Andrea, This should be SuppressChangeDateDialog.  For more information, the link is below.

Have you tried inserting SuppressChangeDateDialog = FALSE in the DEX.INI file?

Harry is correct here. To turn off the date change prompt, we would add the SuppressChangeDateDialog=TRUE line to Dex.ini, so to enable it, just set this to FALSE instead.

I have also seen before where, depending on the location of the line in the Dex.ini, as in, if this line is at the end of the Dex.ini, move it up higher, or vice versa, then close out of Dynamics GP and re-launch the application.

I found a case with this exact same issue, and what they did was moved this line from the bottom of the Dex.ini, closer to the top, and that resolved the issue.

There is also a 'Update User Date' utility in the Professional Services Tools Library (PSTL):

I was able to do some testing with the Update User Date utility for PSTL and the SuppressDateChangeDialog setting in the Dex.ini file.

    >>When I didn't have the Update User Date marked in PSTL nor the SuppressDateChangeDialog line in the Dex.ini, I was prompted at midnight to change the date for Dynamics GP as expected.

    >>When I marked the Update User Date in PSTL but still didn't have the SuppressDateChangeDialog in the Dex.ini, the date changed at midnight without prompting me.

    >>When I marked the Update User Date in PSTL but put the SuppressDateChangeDialog=TRUE line in the Dex.ini, the date changed at midnight again without prompting me.

Just some additional information that I found in the past, testing this on Dynamics GP 2013, but this was pre-R2.

    Thanks
