Dynamics GP 10 SP4 on Win Server 2008 and Xenapp 5.0

Hi,

We have recently moved our Dynamics GP v10 SP4 clients from a Citrix 4.5 environment to a Xenapp 5.0 environment and are experiencing issue with GP and .net framework 2. All of the new servers within our Xenapp farm are hosted on Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition SP2.

Dynamics will generally work fine but then something will happen that will produce the below app crash,  and then will stop any other program that uses .net 2.0 (such as MMC) from functioning:

Problem signature:  Problem Event Name:                        APPCRASH  Application Name:                             Dynamics.exe  Application Version:                           10.0.324.0  Application Timestamp:                     4a39b637  Fault Module Name:                          mscorwks.dll  Fault Module Version:                        2.0.50727.4434  Fault Module Timestamp:                  4b706ce6  Exception Code:                                  c0000005  Exception Offset:                                002db507  OS Version:                                          6.0.6002.2.2.0.16.7  Locale ID:                                             2057  Additional Information 1:                  f8aa  Additional Information 2:                  f9439bb1279f4d214aa4e290f15ca98e  Additional Information 3:                  bd6c  Additional Information 4:                  fb55148d0c970aa743e28243ba752f50

The issue does not occur after a regular event and appears and random and then essentially removes one of the servers from the live environment from running Dynamics. We have tried a number of solutions including a .net 2 hotfix but the issue is still occurring.

For the moment we have installed GP onto a backend server that only has GP installed onto it, but this is only a temporary fix as is stopping users from exporting to MS Office apps as they do not exist on the back end server.

I was just wondering if anyone here has experienced a similar issue or can think of a potential solution to this particular issue??

Hope you can help...

Regards,

Keith Stanley
