Hi

When one of our user (and only that specific user) goes to Released Production Order -> Line -> Production Journal receives "Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow" error.

Any help will be greatly appreciate it.

we are in BC SaaS 17.5

1) User is Super User

2) We removed user personalization from the page

3) Error happens in different browser or in private browser.

4) if user log-in under any other users then user can go through process without any error.

5) error showed up without any change to user or BC.

6) error occur for any new or old released production order. Even if released production order created by user.

Thanks for your help

I came across a problem like this in the Recurring General Journal and the problem ended up being the use of the # symbol in the Description field.

Go to “Item Journal Template” then open then select Prod. Order then Related -> Template -> Batches

     pastedimage1618866423340v1.png

Select the user that has the issue and then Delete the batch

     pastedimage1618866438087v2.png

If user/batch deleted all is done.

In our case the delete function generated error such as follow in “Last Known Error”

"Reservation Management"(CodeUnit 99000845).CheckQuantityIsCompletelyReleased line 14 - Base Application by Microsoft

"Reservation Management"(CodeUnit 99000845).DeleteReservEntries line 158 - Base Application by Microsoft

"Reservation Management"(CodeUnit 99000845).DeleteReservEntries line 9 - Base Application by Microsoft

"Item Jnl. Line-Reserve"(CodeUnit 99000835).DeleteLine line 9 - Base Application by Microsoft

"Item Journal Line"(Table 83).OnDelete(Trigger) line 2 - Base Application by Microsoft

"Item Journal Batch"(Table 233).OnDelete(Trigger) line 4 - Base Application by Microsoft

We have found the problematic line in Table 337 and needed to correct it. We downloaded Table 337 through Package Configuration then removed the Batch name and uploaded back

    pastedimage1618866469433v3.png

Then we were able to delete the Batch for the user.

    Hi Franziska

Thank you for your response and no worries.

I am still working with Microsoft on this. As soon as we resolve this issue I will post the summery here just in case if anyone else has the similar issue.

    Thanks

    Hello MahGah,

sorry that I come back to you so late, I unfortunately missed your reply. I just checked the internal case (at least there was just one with the exact same issue, so I assume it is yours). And I saw it is still ongoing. My collegues try to find the reason with you and sometimes this is not so easy.

The point is, that it is always difficult, if we cannot reproduce the issue. So to narrow down those issues, we always try first to take out the possibilities that an extension might influence the behavior and I just can ask here, for your cooperation (even if you have the feeling it might be not related).

I totally understand your idea to ask the community and very often they can help, but your issue seems to be nothing they can answer.

So please work together with my colleagues from the US Supportteam, I'm sure you will find a solution together.

    Franziska Fiegler

    Thanks Franziska for your answer.

I have done that and so far no successes from Microsoft. So far Microsoft suggested the following 3 times (after we sent them result) without any new suggestion or solution. That is why I tried the community for the hope of better help.

    1) Check for personalization in page.  All personalization for this user have been removed before.

    2) Check for extension. If extension was the problem then all other users had the same issue. Also, this user has no issue in Sandbox with same extensions.

    3) Change Role Center. Done that no success.

    4) Assign super user. This user is super user.

    Thanks again

    Hello MahGah,

I would suggest, to create a support case when you can reproduce the scenario in a non modified CRONUS company, feel free to raise a support request via your partner or CSP.
