    Hello,

It's possible to assign records either to users or teams.

In my case I only can select individual users could you advise how to enable selecting multiple users or teams as Task Owner?

A team is a set of users of some kind. So, create the team, add users to it and assign the task to that team.

    Hi Ghada,

You can only assign one task to one user or one team(contains multiple users), which means that task owner is one user or one team.

In fact, the owner is a lookup field, it is 1:N relationship between user/team and task entities, so one task can only have one owner.

What is the purpose of the recognition you want to assign to multiple users?

If you want them to have access to this task, you can share this task record and select specific permissions(Read/Write/Delete/Append/Assign/Share) even all.

Now, the user--Alan steiner can read and edit the task.

But one difference is that the shared records will not show in the 'My...' views (e.g. My Tasks).

You can definitely have a Team own a Task, but the Team must have a Security Role assigned to it that has sufficient privileges to Own the Task/Activity and associate to the Regarding object.

    Hi Ghada,

The ‘task owner’ you are using in screenshot is OOB owner field?

    pastedimage1614046760452v1.png

The OOB owner field type is ‘Owner’, which is a specific lookup field because it has a relationship with users and team entities.

But if it is customized lookup field, it just can build relationship with user and team entities separately, you need create relationship with team entity.

In addition to the security role that team has been assigned need have sufficient privileges on the activity, the type of team also needs to be be ’Owner‘.
