Purchase Journals -- Withholding

Posted on by 3,480

Hi:

We have medical invoices that will need to be processed through Purchase Journals.

But, one of the amounts to be invoiced is for state tax withholding.

In order to process this withholding, will we need to use a Purchase Tax or Discount field in the Purchase Journals?  If not, what other field can we use?

Thanks!

John

per my knowledge, the purchase journal might not calculate tax amount. It does when account type is GL account

I think you can add the Tax Liable and Tax Area Code to Purchase Journal (through personalization) then populate them. This way BC will withhold tax based on the Tax Area code setup.
