Script Error when launching AX Client

We have a client that certain users are getting a "Script Error" error when they launch the AX Client.  This just started occurring and it only happens to certain users.  I have created a test user and mirrored the problem user's AD and AX permissions / roles (no AX roles actually).  It looks to be a role center error but the user is not assigned to one.

Once they click NO they can continue using the AX client with no issues.

Here is the error:

Script Error

Line: 1412

Char: 294

Error:  Unterminated string constant

Code: 0

URL: http://EPSERVER/sites/dynamicsax/enterprise%20portal/EPDefaultRoleCenter.aspx?---and a lot of misc characters after

Do you want to continue running the scripts on this page?  Yes or No.

It's been a while ago and that environment got replaced.  If memory serves me, I ended up installing a hotfix for this issue.   Unfortunately, I do not have a record of it any longer.

RE: AX 2012 R2 CU7 -- Script Error when launching AX Client

The underlying issue is caused by a Line Feed character (&#10) in the HTML code generated in the Work List  when it is included in AX client Home - Role Centre landing page.

If a user has any approvals pending, AX will populate a list of user pending actions. The list will contain a ‘Subject’ field. The field is defined in the workflow configuration by an administrator. The text in the field should not contain any characters such as Line Feed (&#10) or Carriage Return(&#13).

    Solution

The standard code imposes the constraint.

The constraint can be bypassed  by making sure configuration doesn’t contain any special characters.

    Hi Ravi,

Where did you disable script debugging? I did disable it and the script error disappeared if I open from IE, but the problem still persist when I open from AX.

    Regards,

    Anton

Please try to open AX as administrator and provide required permissions to the user id in enterprise portal.
