Fixed Asset status "Not yet acquired"

I manually add the asset into D365.

In Balance status it is "Not Yet acquired". How can I change it to 'Open"?

Hello Steven,

Once you posted the acquisition transaction for this fixed asset, the status automatically changes to open.

I would assume that you either post the acquisition via a vendor invoice or a fixed asset journal.

Hi PPG pty ltd,

I wonder how come the acquisition prices of this asset shows a value of 3023.00 even though the status is showing 'Not yet acquired' ?

Did you just write this value manually in this field ? Because this 'Acquisition prices' field is editable.

When the status of any fixed asset shows "Not yet acquired", that means there is no acquisition entry is recorded against that fixed asset in system.

Can you please check the following.

-- Go to "Books" of this fixed asset and then click on Transactions.

Have you found any posted transaction recorded there with a transaction type "Acquisition" ?

If not, then please create an acquisition entry for this asset and post it. The status then will be automatically changed to "Open".
