    RE: Subaccount Inactive

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR HELP TRYING TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.

I HAVE CONNECTED OUR SL CONSULTANT WHO HAS NOW ROSOLVED THIS ISSUE.

    RESOLUTION:

    1. Important:  I just learned this trick from our SL consultant who just resolved this issue.
    2. In SL, top of the screen, click application, initialize mode.
    3. Go to GL, under input click Journal Transactions (01.010.00).  I think because it is unposted batch and it is in initialize mode the fields are editable.
    4. In the Sub column, highlight each sub number one at a time then price F3
    5. The "Master Subaccount List" should open with the exact sub number at the very top.
    6. The sub number that did not show up at top of the "Master Subaccount List" is the sub number this is inactive.
    7. Next, you need to find what screen the sub number originated from and what the right sub number supposed to be.
    8. In our case, it originated from the Project Maintenance screen (pa.prj.00) GL Subaccount field.

Change the sub account number in the following fields.

    1. Next, change the Project Maintenance screen (pa.prj.00) GL Subaccount field to the correct GL Sub Account number.
    2. In the Journal Transactions screen (01.010.00), change the sub number to the right number.
    3. While the sub number still highlighted, press F3 to open the "Master Subaccount List" then click the edit button to open Subaccount Maintenance (01.270.00).
    4. In the Subaccount Maintenance (01.270.00), verify that the correct subaccount number is in this field.

    Good luck.

    RE: Subaccount Inactive

Yesterday we received the exact same error message on an AP voucher batch:

System Message 6124: Process started: Mon Feb 24 02:44 P.M.

    Module: 'AP'

    Batch: '024671'

Processing: Module: 'AP' , Batch: '024671'

    System Message 6642: Subaccount Inactive.

System Message 6125: Process ended: Mon Feb 24 02:44 P.M.

No one has touched the subaccount maintenance.  We have manually verified that every subaccount in the batch is active. We have checked the SubAcct and SubXRef tables to verify that all subs are active. The user received no errors upon entering the batch nor releasing the batch. Checks have been issued against the released batch but we can not post it! The batch is still giving us the same error when we tried to post it  to the gl multiple times.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thank You

I have checked, the validate account/subaccount in the GL Setup is not selected.

Are you using acct-sub combinations (checkbox in GL setup)?  If so there is another screen, GL Acct/Sub Maintenance, where individual acct-sub combos may be inactive.

Thank you for your reply.  I have checked the Active fields in both tables they were set to 1.

Query the Subacct table for the Sub and make sure the Active field is set to 1, also check the same for the SubXRef table in the System DB
