I am working on creating a form in CRM for one of the custom entities. We have a custom "Status" dropdown field on it with the values "Not Started", "In Progress" and "Completed". Is there a way to add color, icon or image to it? For example, if status is Not Started, it shows Red, is user changes the option to In Progress, it shows Yellow and then for Completed, it shows Green. I know it can be done on list view but I want to do it on the form while editing the list item. Please help.

Hi partner,
You couldn't set different color for option fields on CRM 2013.
I suggest that you could try two ideas:
1.Develop a custom webpage and show the data records.
2.Add JavaScript code to control the color of options when page Onload.
Hope it helps.
Best Regards
Leo
Hello ,
Dynamics CRM 2013 does not have color feature . So with OOB fields its not possible .
Coloring feature available in dynamics CRM 2016 .
Hi Sam,
There is no supported way of adding colors/icons to dropdowns in CRM forms. This is possible on views, but as you are on CRM 2013, don't think it was available at that point in time. You can use a custom web resource to replace the drop down and implement your own logic if that is something that would be applicable.
Hope this helps.
