How to Import Phone Call Activities

Hello everyone! I've recently run into an issue with trying to import phone call activities into our Dynamics 365 CRM. Every time I try I get:

EDIT: I've been able to move this along, but am now receiving a new error message about a duplicate lookup reference: 

Duplicate reference found for transformation output parameter mapped to: Regarding. Output Parameter Value: (Redacted)

This is a bit confusing because I am very confident the 'Regarding Output Parameter Value' is unique to our system. It is referencing a Transaction and the name of the transaction is typed as "Company + Transaction Type", so there is no way there is another record with the same name. Is there a chance it gets stuck trying to reference the company because that name is listed first? Keep in mind the FULL NAME of the transaction is different from the company/account name but it does contain part of it.

    Have you tried this while leaving the last import setting to "Allow Duplicates" since you know you aren't actually creating dups?

    Just a thought?

    I have had similar issues with this also.  I have even tried uploading the GUID of the account into the regarding field via an upload and I get duplicate messages still.

    Can you try loading without Regarding being populated, and then manually bulk-updating the Regarding field after?  Because Regarding is a multi-entity lookup, sometimes it has strange behavior that's hard to isolate.  It does sound like two records with the same name, but you already said they're unique in your CRM.

    Sounds like you're actually trying to import the Activity record instead of the Phone Call.  You need to use the individual Phone Call dataset, because Activities are actually a meta-entity and you can't load directly against it.

    If you go to Settings -> Data -> Templates for Import  

    Choose Phone Call instead of Activity and then your data should load just fine.
