Accessing Authoring Tool for D365 Commerce

I've been scouring the net trying to find the exact instruction on how to open the Authoring Tool for D365 Commerce but can't really find a specific path for it. I've checked the docs site and it says that you'll access the environment through LCS. Once there, how do you actually open it? I've watched 3 Ignite videos already but they don't have a demo on how to go to it. Only showing an already open tool.

I'm not sure if it's just our environment but there were mentions of the site builder link inside LCS > Environment features but we don't have that on my end.

Apologies if this has been asked before but can anyone help me figure this out please. We only started exploring Commerce for a couple of days.

Thank you.

    Hi vdelamerced,

I think your question refers to docs.microsoft.com/.../authoring-home-overview.

If you want to use e-Commerce Site builder, please make sure you are using a Tier-2 environment.

Hi Hanjia! Thank you! I just got an answer about this. We actually had Tier 1 so I wasn't seeing any of the store front capabilities.

Hi, So is it not possible to use the site builder on a tier1 or demo environment? Thanks.

Hello, as most Microsoft products you need Tier 2 and above environments to get the full features. So no RCSU & Site Builder for Tier 1 environments.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

It is weird the documentation to provision an evaluation environment makes reference to this option.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../provisioning-guide
